Mumbai 2010 Welcome/VIP Reception
The night before the conference, hundreds of people
gathered on the lawns of the Renaissance Hotel &
Convention Centre for the CTBUH Mumbai Conference
Welcome/VIP Reception. Especially when arriving from
a wintery Chicago, a welcome reception is always
a pleasant moment to catch up with distant colleagues,
to meet new professionals and to warm up before
the conference. With the scene of Powai Lake and
surroundings in the background, delegates were
welcomed by traditional live music performances and
a buffet of Indian cuisine.
The Welcome/VIP Reception was kindly sponsored by the Platinum sponsors of the conference, the Saifee Burhani Upliftment Trust, a representative from SBUT opened and welcomed the attendees. Amongst the people who welcomed the delegates were CTBUH Executive Director Antony Wood, RoMF secretary Mayank Gandhi and Prof. Sang Dae Kim, for whom it was the first time to welcome the delegates at a conference as Chairman of the CTBUH. In this position, he wished all an educational and enjoyable three days ahead.
