Next CTBUH Chair visits CTBUH HQ

Sang Dae Kim of Korea University, due to take over as CTBUH Chair in October 2009, visited the CTBUH offices on 27-28 August for a 2-day meeting with current Chair David Scott and Executive Director Antony Wood to discuss longer term plans for the Council. Topics discussed included Professor Kim’s plan/vision for the Council during his 2-year tenure, plans to expand the Council’s presence and influence in Asia generally (and China / Japan / Korea specifically), and the potential for new regional chapters of the CTBUH around the world. Professor Kim also met all the CTBUH staff and discussed the projects they are currently working on.
Professor Kim will formally take over as CTBUH Chair from David Scott at the Chicago conference and 8th annual Awards Dinner in October. David Scott will continue to serve the Council at a high level as a CTBUH Trustee on the Board of Trustees.
