Energy consumption occurring in buildings accounts for 25% of the total national consumption. To cut down energy consumed in buildings, it became necessary to adopt low energy smart architecture. smart Passive architecture, a developed form of low energy construction, was brought to the fore and flourished in Germany to actively spread throughout Europe. The introduction of smart passive house to Korea is urgent as the country relies heavily on imports to meet 97% of its total energy needs. Thus, to draw out the elements of passive design, this paper analyzed the applicable elements of passive house as well as its essential elements such as insulation and air tightness. This research related to Passive architecture and development around the world understands the status of domestic and international as case studies based on the current construction of a sustainable future through energy-efficient housing. Energy-saving housing construction requires elements of the technology are still in the entry-level position domestically and there are many other different issues. However, in countries with large capital investments in green building as a deeper study, and if backed by systematic technical education about substantiality (passive & active) elements, smart technology will be able to go along quickly.

Smart home is emerging technology growing  continuously now.It integrates of many new technologies through  Smart homes are no longer design concepts of the future. They are being built  now, and they are having a direct impact on the lifestyles of people living in them. The aim of smart home systems is to create an environment that is aware of the activities taking place within it. Beside the healthy people, disabled people also need such systems to make their life easier. Because they encounter with a lot of difficulties in their everyday life especially when they are at home.home networking for improving human’s quality of living, so there have many projects researching in diverse technologies to apply to the smart home system. Accordingly, this paper reviews various topics on smart home technologies from surveying for smart home research projects. The topics is based on the method of smart home.Smart homes will become more ubiquitous because new technologies will be explored more and more. In future work, we plan to build an application on tablet or smart phone using Android operating system for controlling the smart devicesfor easier and more convenient living.

Buildings account for about 50% of the energy consumed in developed countries, most of which still comes from non renewable sources. The environmental impact due to the process of extraction, production and transportation combined with its ever increasing cost have contributed to make energy related issues an ever more important issue within the broad context of sustainable architecture. In most countries there are excellent examples of vernacular architecture and many contemporary architects have also embraced some of the principles of ecological design, creating interesting examples of low energy buildings adapted to the climate. Passive heating systems store and distribute solar energy without the need of complex controllers for its distribution, raising indoor temperatures above outdoor values. Passive cooling systems transfer incident energy to natural energetic deposits, or heat sinks, such as the air, the upper atmosphere, water and earth, lowering the temperature of the air inside the building. When passive heating or cooling systems are incorporated in building design, energy consumption for heating or cooling can be greatly reduced and in some cases eliminated altogether, reducing nonrenewable energy consumption and global pollution, so that the whole planet benefits.
